Filipina. Over 27 years experience in corporate planning, policy formulation, project development, and program management, 20 years of which, was focused on the energy sector, particularly electrification and renewable energy. Ms. Yeneza is a Founding member and Managing Director of Preferred Energy Inc. (PEI), a Philippine NGO that initiates and supports sustainable development efforts and investments in renewable energy and other clean development projects in the country. She led PEI’s Climate Change initiatives involving CDM capacity building and co-authored the CDM Country Guide for the Philippines. As, Former Corporate Planning Director of the National Electrification Administration (1989-1995), she worked with rural electric cooperatives, and was instrumental in securing some US$163 Million of funding with leading multi-lateral agencies. Ms. Yeneza was Technical Advisor to the Committee on Energy of the Philippines’ House of Representatives involved in the drafting of various bills (among which is the first draft of the Renewable Energy Bill). She also served as consultant to rural electrification initiatives of multi-lateral agencies, such as the World Bank and International Finance Corporation.
