The Municipality of Alcala in the Province of Cagayan issued their resolution in favor of Green Power Cagayan Valley Philippines Inc; "APPROVING THE ESTABLISHMENT, CONSTRUCTION AND OPERATION OF A 35 MEGAWATT RENEWABLE ENERGY BIOMASS POWER PLANT IN THE MUNICIPALITY".

This approval endorsement paves the way for the immediate development of the 35 MW multi-fuelled biomass power plant that will deliver urgently required power, employment, poverty alleviation and lessen the nations reliance on expensive imported fossil fuels. The project will deliver 3,400 jobs and stable base-load power whilst helping mitigate climate change giving farmers a market for their agricultural wastes which are currently either burnt, dumped or left to rot in the fields.
