The project has recived tremendouse support from the local community, Local Municipal and Provinicial Government's as well as the farming community who will now be generating additional income from waste agricultural residues (biomass) instead of burning them in the open or letting them rot in the field; both activities that contribute towards Climate Change and Global Warming.
The GPBPI project will deliver base load biomass power through the National Grid Corporation of the Philippine to Philippine Consumetrs under the Philippines Renewable Energy Act of 2008 (RE Act) Feed-in-Tariff (FiT) system for biomass power generation.
The project is invested by Global Green Power PLC Corporation of the Philippines with support from Global Green Power PLC of the United Kingdom (UK).
